How to update GOS?

This is my first time using GOS. I just got my Pixel 9 Pro, and I successfully flashed GOs on it following the instructions. I'm now trying to make sure that my version of GOS is up to date. How to do I update the OS?

1000Plateaus after you install the OS it should automatically be updated to the latest release. If you want to check manually, go settings > system > system updates > check for updates. Another way to see what update your on is settings > about phone > scroll down to build number and compare it to the latest release in the GrapheneOS app (the app that has the GrapheneOS logo on it. It comes installed on the OS).

The updates will automatically come to you. If you want the alpha or beta OS updates you can go to Settings/system/system updates/release channel and choose Stable, Beta or Alpha.

@1000Plateaus By default, there's a collapsed/silent notification for a successful update check where there was no new update available both System Updater and App Store updates that's shown at the bottom of the notification drawer. It doesn't appear on the lockscreen or status bar. Some users choose to disable this to avoid having those almost always around at the bottom of the notification drawer but we include it as the default for more awareness of update checks. Errors are shown with a higher priority level which is not collapsed and shows on the lockscreen and status bar.

Something also to tweak to your needs and preference is when your phone should perform updates such as on mobile data vs WiFi, while charging, at specific battery levels, etc.

Go to Settings -> System -> System Updates and choose your desired preferences.

Populqr app installation sources such as the GrapheneOS app store, Play Store, Accrescent, Obtainium, Aurora Store, and F-Droid clients each have their own update settings located in each in-app's settings as well.
