Voice typing with SwiftKey not working?

I like the SwiftKey keyboard best (even if it is owned by, ugh, Microsoft) and I just noticed the Voice Typing doesn't work - it says it requires Google Voice Search to be installed, but when I tap the "download button" for it, it just takes me to the Google App, which is already installed. Having the Google App open, and with Microphone permission enabled, does not make a difference in this behavior. The three sandboxed Google apps are installed already.

Is something else needed in order to make Google voice typing on SwiftKey function normally?

Do you have Speech Services by Google installed? It may require that for functionality.

Having the Speech Recognition & Synthesis app installed is enough. No need for the Google app. I just can't find a way to change the default speech recognition language.
