iPhone vs Pixel marketing

Does anyone feel like the iPhone is marketed waaay more than the Pixel? Before I started using GOS, it was like every smartphone ad online was for the latest and greatest iPhone. And never the Pixel. To me it also feels like as soon as you buy the latest and greatest iPhone they release a brand new one. Whereas with the Pixel it doesn't seem to feel that way (thats just me not sure if others feel its like that). I just got to thinking on how many people are iPhone users and I've got a good hunch it has to do with Apple's advertising.

nandohyphen1 My own devices don't show/play advertisements, and I don't frequent places that do either, so I wouldn't know. Do you not mind being advertised to all day long?

Where do you live? Marketing is strongly dependent on country. Here in Germany we get blasted with Pixel ads everywhere.

n3t_admin I'm in Canada. I didn't think about the marketing differences in other countries. But theres a lot of iPhone marketing here, as well as iPhone users!

Fay_Wilmont Do you not mind being advertised to all day long?

No I'm not saying I get advertised to. I do have an ad blocker. Its just that if I'm looking on a website that sells phones (say Amazon or Best Buy) I'm not seeing a whole lot for Pixel phones. It seems like in Canada the advertising is iPhone, Samsung, Motorola, and then Pixel. I was just surprised in general that its mainly iPhones here. I guess Apple really knows how to target iPhone users! :p
