Overnight battery drain on a new Pixel 9 with GOS

Hello, I have a new P9 which loses 20-35% battery overnight. Is there any chance this is a Graphene issue?

AccuBattery and Gsam reports that Deep Sleep only occurs about 1 to 4 hours so that's 4-7 hours of the CPU being wakelocked during 8 hours idle.

Battery stats in Settings - all apps seem within normal limits, but System consumes high amounts overnight.

adb dumpsys batterystats logs tell me that GNSS and GPS are the battery drains and 'system' is the only user. No apps stand out.

I did a factory reset, installed barebones apps, and installed Google Play, and avoided GPS-using apps -but System is still consuming high battery.

Not sure where to go from here.

Can I disable Graphene's unique location handling?
Should I enable location services for Play Store? Maybe the Play Store is repeatedly requesting location and getting denied?

It's just a bum battery and needs warranty replacement

I looked under location in the settings (Security & Privacy - Location access - Location settings) and I see that every option is set to OFF: Wi-Fi, network, Bluetooth, and geocoder were all off.

Should they be on?

If they are off, how is anything accessing location data (ie Google Maps)?

Following this. Just got a brand new pixel 8 for installing graphene OS and are finding the battery draining surprisingly fast while idle.

Sontrikoli you already installed GrapheneOS or you haven't yet?

I have considered reverting my Pixel 9 with GOS (the original post) back to stock and see if the behavior is the same, but I am traveling and don't have time this week.
