Is the google pixel not compromised?

I’m very new to all of this. Degoogling is something I want to do. People often say get grapheneOS but it’s mostly recommended to use google pixel to support it. Is the google pixel itself not compromised? Not very knowledgeable about tech if someone could explain that to me. (In simplified way if possible, I’m assuming it’s too complicated to explain really quick, unless you really want to do that)

Pixels are by far the more secure available Android devices and have first class support for running another OS with all of the security intact. There's nothing else comparable. They receive by far the most external privacy and security research of any smartphones. Other devices almost entirely lack proper privacy/security patches and protections. There's not only not a better option available but every other available option is incredibly flawed. We're working with a major OEM towards future devices meeting our requirements within a couple years to have another option available. People can make a baseless claim that any hardware we could ever support is compromised. There's no basis for claiming it about Pixels and in fact other devices putting so little effort into security are what's very questionable. Pixels are not entirely security-focused devices but rather handle it competently like iPhones instead of it being a disaster like nearly all other non-iPhone devices.
