What's up,

I've been researching a lot lately on privacy and thinking of making the switch from iPhone to Google Pixel phone. It seems like for security purposes, Graphene OS is the best solution, however I'm curious though what it's like to run Graphene OS and what kind of apps will be available, such as eBay, amazon, banking apps and some business apps as well. I own and operate an insurance business so I want to keep things secure no doubt for myself and my clients. So I have a couple questions, how easy/convenient for daily living is Graphene OS while running a business and should I instead of having one phone that does all, keep a personal phone for privacy running Graphene and use another phone for business?

While I don't want to write a whole essay regarding your other questions, it's a clear yes to this one.

It should be a no-brainer to separate business and personal hardware. In some fields, this is even required for compliance reasons. Keep your iPhone for the business side of things and get on to GrapheneOS for personal use. You can still create a separate work profile later if you decide to run your business from Graphene as well, so no harm done!

apache first of all welcome to the GOS community, everyone is super helpful.

Most (if not all) applications are compatible with GOS, you can optionally install Google Play Service and the Play Store (which benefit from being sandboxed) where most apps will be found but also Accresent App Store for a more privacy focused experience.

In relation to the work life and private life balance, as @n3t_admin noted there are multiple compliance standards and regulations across a multitude of countries that need to be considered (such as: GDPR, CCPA, NIS2, DORA, etc) as such probably best to keep things separate.

PS you can find a lot of information in the forum which has a search bar for ease of navigation. I personally spend most of my time reading the forum when needing advice, generally people have provided links to services and more reading material to help. Also answering questions unrelated to GOS but still in the scope of privacy and security.
