Viewpoint0232 Or irrelevant?
I believe it's completely irrelevant.
The antitrust case was primarily about Google's monopoly in the search engine field.
It barely touched on Android, because Android was just the gateway used by Google to push their 1st party services onto Android customers.
So the only problem was, that Google was abusing Android to push their in-house products.
This doesn't concern issues such as side loading or releasing device trees. In fact, locking these features down worsens Google's stance.
So I wouldn't get my hopes up that Google will just revert their decisions in the future; they are here to stay.
