Existing issue: usb port is becoming unreliable (cables fall out, noise on usb headphones)
Last night at just after 03.30, my phone started chiming repeatedly. The error message said something about the phone service (5G) being disrupted.
I assumed it was work on a local tower. Not sure what I pressed, but I locked it and went back to sleep in silence.
Approximately 2 hours later, it happened again. This time it seem more intense. I pressed the power button and I am pretty sure (it was quite early, after all) I pressed the power off option.
However, the phone entered a boot loop. It kept coming up to the 'your phone is loading a different operating system' screen, then blank, then the percentage battery, then back to reboot.
I let that cycle run for a few minutes, then hit pause on the boot screen. I left it like that for about an hour.
When I released it from the pause, it went to the Google splash screen then all the way into GrapheneOS proper. I restarted it once more, but behavior was back to normal.
That all seems very odd to me.
The phone hasn't been dropped, but it has been exposed to some fine wood dust recently. I've recently moved neighborhoods, so I'm using different towers. 5G is usually pretty good here.
Is it reasonable to consider that an attack?
EDIT (sorry, no coffee yet): What other reasonable explanations can be applied here?
