Error when flashing factory image on pixel 6a

So I went through all the steps for installing Graphene on my pixel 6a without a hitch until the flashing factory images step. It went well until it booted up into fastboot mode and then didn't do anything else as I got this error, Error: The requested file could not be read, typically due to permission problems that have occurred after a reference to a file was acquired.

Anyone encountered this error before. I rebooted into the bootloader but not sure what to do...

Also I just noticed that I tagged this as pixel 6 when I meant to tag this as pixel 6a. Could one of the mods retag this? I've tried to retag in editing but I can't seem to do it on my end for some reason

Either you have a lack of storage space or are using incognito mode.

Huh, I have plenty of storage space as my phone is brand new and I wasn't using incognito mode but that makes me wonder, I had certain settings changed for hardening my chrome browser...would that maybe prevent it? I'm going to change all those settings back to default and try it again. Also to give a little more info I was doing this on a chromebook in chromeos (pixel slate) and on chrome browser both fully updated.

So I reset all of my chrome browsers settings back to default and disabled all my extensions like ublock and decentraleyes and I tried flashing the factory image again. Again it went fine until it got to my phone rebooting into the userspace fastboot mode so it could flash the rest of the OS. As it was doing this I got the same error, Error: The requested file could not be read, typically due to permission problems that have occurred after a reference to a file was acquired.

I've ruled out the hardening and the incognito mode. The only other thing I can think of is storage space but my phone has as much storage as factory settings would give it (I just bought the phone and updated it fully and then factory reset it so I could OEM unlock it and then I went straight into the installing graphene process)

I have a new computer coming to me next week with it's main OS being Windows so I'm going to try it on that next. If there is any other solutions anyone can think of in the meantime let me know. so I guess I solved it...
So I decided to factory reset my pixel slate, the computer I was using for the web installer process, (although I doubt this is what did it I thought I would mention it just in case) and then I plugged my usb cable that plugs into my phone into a different port on my pixel slate and tried it again and it worked...very strange but it worked this time so you can mark this as solved.
