Disable screen shot blocking?

I take screen shots regularly (or at least used to) of mundane things, but things I need to get info from later on. I'm finding more and more things that I can take a screen shot of without it just giving me a black image and it's getting rather frustrating. I totally get the reason for the blocking, but it's not something that I personally am concerned about with my threat model. Is there a global setting somewhere that I can flip a toggle to just allow me to screen shot everything like I used to be able to? I've looked and can't find it. If it doesn't exist, is there a possibility of it being added in the future?

PS-- what is up with all these spam posts about phone numbers that have been flooding the forum today? Crazy.

GOS can't really take care of it since it's a system API, without root you can't really handle it.
For that it's always good to keep a rooted cheap phone at hand.

Bypassing screenshot block is absolutely something GrapheneOS can implement. There is no root required for this. Root is only ever a hacky dirty solution for something that could be done properly.

So it seems like this has been a common request for years but with no progress being made. That's disappointing.

Can't really be upset at the devs over this though because I know they are limited in their manpower and have to allocate it to more pressing things.

It's a bummer, but it is what it is I suppose.

MEGAbyter there are higher priority issues, simple as that :)

(I have my favourite issues too, but the best I can do is to suck it up and wait, and maybe donate. Any (working) alternative (like getting root, my own 'patched' releases, etc) is worse in the long run.
