Recently just upgraded my phone from a Galaxy S23 to a Pixel 9 Pro and installed Graphene. Really enjoying it so far. Over the past year or so I've become very used to having and using a Galaxy Watch, mainly for fitness and sleep tracking, as well as the convenience of getting notifications on my wrist.
With GrapheneOS being a privacy focused OS, and Samsung being absolutely notorious for data collection and telemetry, is there even a point in trying to get my watch set up with my Pixel (which would require the Samsung Wearables app to get full functionality)? Would installing the app but greatly restricting it's network connectivity capabilities be an option? Ideally I'd like my watch to be able to talk to my phone to pass a bit of data back and forth, but for none of that data to ever be allowed to leave my phone. If there's a reliable way to do that, I'd love to hear it. If not, so be it, I guess I'll be looking into a less intrusive watch.
