I requested Google from the 6a battery program for a discount on a new phone and I am seriously considering the 9a especially for it's extra battery than other models, I'm just now hearing about this feature and I'm curious too the implications of it. From reading about it on Google's site on one hand it seems they may be intentionally limiting the battery charge limit over time, but on the other hand it might be for good cause, the question seems to be if GOS will want to parity this feature for safety reasons (assuming it's just part of the proprietary stock OS.)
