Before moving to GrapheneOS, I had a Motorola Moto G Play 2023. Almost at least once per day, it would lose cell service. The only way to fix it was to either;
- Reboot the phone and it was fixed instantly
- Reboot the phone and still not have cell service all day
I was not using any VPNs or anything. At first I thought I just live in an area with bad service but interestingly enough, when I switched to GrapheneOS I always have a great signal. I've since (sort of) de googled the Motorola (its not my daily) using ADB tool and put a sim card back in it from the same carrier. It experiences the same problems. As soon as the sim goes in a different phone (iPhone), it works perfectly. So not a big deal since this isn't my daily, but it does make me curious as to why the Motorola never had cell service. Are Motorolas known for this? Like I said, this isn't my daily so I'm not even looking for a fix really (I'm open to stuff to try though :) ) I'm just curious if others have experienced this on Motorola phones before.
