Play store updates are really fast now

Updates from the play store used to be very slow, I believe due to some recompilation/pre-linking etc, that's not the case now they're as fast as a non GrapheneOS phone. I'm kind of wondering whether the recompilation feature has been accidentally broken?

braddeicide I haven't observed such a speed-up myself, but I have heard something about Android 16 having async AOT compilation, so it might be that the installation is reported as finished now before the compilation is done. Purely speculations, I don't actually know anything.

That would be good. As it was I had to only update a few apps at once or the process would timeout and I'd end up with an app store full of "failed" updates but the app actually installed correctly in the background.
