Was on sale from best buy for $499 CAD

Let me know how flashing GrapheneOS goes. I'm also in Canada and saw that one and have my eye on it.

nandohyphen1 I just finished flashing it via the web installer, it was a breeze. GOS fully installed on it, now just waiting for the Dbrand stuff to show up before I switch over and use it daily.

I'm not sure if I'll get a new phone yet (I'm hoping to get at least another year out of my 6a) but this is really good to know, since I have my eye on the 9a and 9 Pro from best buy, and when I need a new phone I'll probably go with best buy, since there's no way I want to support Google directly by buying off the Google store. Thanks for the report! :)

I am sorry if this is wrong place to ask such questions, but I think creating separate topic in offtopic category is overkill.

Is there any real reasons to buy Pixel 10 Pro instead of regular Pixel 10? The price difference is huge, but you don't really get anything out of it. Perhaps a little bit better camera and higher screen resolution that you won't notice in blind tests?

Am I missing something out or Google made worst possible "Pro" version? I also don't care about AI stuff and it won't work with GrapheneOS.

This and also more ram(12 vs 16gb), and the Pro supports wifi 7.

sergeisb12 It's true that the pixel 10 is a very nice deal if you don't care about the details. The Pro this year is really just about the small things: Display has LTPO, which saves a lot of battery. Wifi7, 16GB RAM, and the Camera is IMHO massively better, even if people gonna disagree with me. Even the selfie cam is finally usable on the pro and still useless on the normal one. Also, only the pro has a 6.8" model, which I personally prefer.

For me, the camera alone is worth the cost. I hate the camera of my 9 pro fold, and the pixel 10 cam is essentially the same.

I will slightly disagree with this.
WiFi 7 on a phone is nice future proofing, but not useful. most of
the world is still on WiFi 4/5. Do we need 10Gbit on a phone?
WiFi 6 was enough, at least for me. Stable drivers. 16GB ram?
That's for stock and AI features. Or for games. Again, nice to have but we will rarely need it. Camera is generally the same as 9 so there is no real upgrade for avid photographers.

If price is a factor, you can get a November deal on the 9 which can be almost half price of the 10. Which is ridiculous because
the hardware is maybe 20% better, and that's being optimist.

Yea, if you want the camera, the 9 Pro does it as well. Heck even the 8 Pro has almost the same camera.

The only pros a plain 10 has over a 9 Pro I can think of would be Bluetooth 6, and faster storage on the 265GB version. Also magnetic and reverse wired charging. Maybe a bit better battery and performance? Otherwise the 9 Pro should be better in almost every respect. Display, cameras, memory. And I guess even wifi 7 fwiw?

Installed from staging on P10ProXL using Vandium on another GrapheneOS device. Setup remote auditor verification. No hiccups so far. For now Wi-Fi only.

So just to be clear: experimental support means there might be bugs and hiccups, but barring any critical bugs, if I install it now, I'm on the main branch or whatever, and won't have to reinstall to get "normalcy", right?

barding Yes, from my past experience with the arrival of Graphene OS for the P8 and P9 series, thats how it played out. I installed from this "staging/trial" area, and transitioned over to the standard "stable" updates. This is very exciting... I'll install on a P10 now and report!

Gonna install once it's charged. Looks like this thing sucked battery even when turned off. Typical modern devices..

BOOM!!! The Devs have done it again! Outstanding effort and results.

So just flashed GOS on a P10... proceeded as per normal. Had to reboot it to see my USB Drive. Then installed some apps, installed Aurora Store, then a bunch or my usual apps... NO ISSUES.

My Daily Driver is a P9PXL and I have it running the latest OS, so already familiar with new UI, but the P10 felt "snappier"... I'll install it on a P10PXL 1TB I have here to see if it does feel faster :]

I know it's very early in the P10 GOS journey, but this is an impressive start. The world needs GOS so badly, we are witnessing an historic moment :)
