If anything has already been extensively covered in a thread, feel free to post a link for me, thanks in advance.
I'd really like to use the "Private Space" option (I know about the profiles but I'll touch on that) however it seems like Google wants me to log in? This seems counter productive to locking down the phone but I'm curious if by signing into the Private Space with my G-account, that account remains locked to that private space only and Google doesn't now have tentacles into the phone, be it in apps, or the phone itself? On regular android when you sign into any G-app on the phone, that login is now available to the phone and any G-App you sign into. I just want to make sure that if I did make use of the private space, there is a faraday box placed around that G-login.
I need regular access to files on my NAS, but I don't want to install any of the Synology apps on GOS. What would be the best methods to do this? I know I can implement Tailscale for connections, but what about the app side? Any best apps & methods to access files remotely on GOS?
If you install apps from the Play Store, updating is a non-issue as I understand it, but if you grab them from the source eg; Github, is there a way to setup auto-updates?
So far I installed the Play Store, Play Services and then Signal, Proton Mail & Cal all from the play store. One of those apps, I forget which, required me to toggle that "Install Unknown Apps" in settings which had me pause. I can't recall if installing the actual Play Store triggered that, or installing Signal, Proton triggered that. Idea's? Thanks,
Lastly, on the topic of profiles, if I have 2 other profiles setup but I don't need the apps in those profiles running in the background all the time, can I make use of fast switching but not have those apps running if I'm not in the profile to preserve battery?
Thanks in advance.
