Fastboot Mode

Good day all.

I recently installed Graphene on a Pixel8, went well, and been loving it. So when it came time to get tablet is was a no-brainer, I knew what to do. And to be honest, the steps had changed from my previous install, but they were super clear and well written instruction. NO ISSUE. The only thing is, after the install, so yes the flashing went as planned, trying to "Lock" the fastboot mode now and cycling through with the volume controls all I get for options are "Recovery Mode" - "Restart Bootloader" - "Start" - "Power Off" - "BarCode" - "Rescue Mode"

I tried selecting "Restart Bootloader" - with no change.

To be clear, I just need to lock the fastboot, and the installation should be complete.

I did do some searching on the forums, and there were some hits but nothing I could see really fit my case.

Would appreciate some advice as how I should finalize the flashing if I cannot lock the Fastboot Mode, and should be my next steps.

Good day!

Locking the bootloader is another button on the website, only when you hit that will the selection on the device change.

@spring-onion Thanks for the reply, but I am not quite sure what you mean by "button on the website". I used the "command line guide" (cli). Which again was perfect. Up until this step "Locking the bootloader".

Have you inputted the command then?

When you execute fastboot flashing lock from the computer connected to the tablet while it is in fastboot mode, the tablet screen should noticably change and show a message asking if you want to lock the bootloader. Only then do you need to use the volume buttons to select the affirming action.

Ok, after thinking on what @spring-onion said, I went over in my head what he could have meant, then I realized my mistake. I reread the direction and further up on the guide there was a command I had to run from the terminal.

fastboot flashing unlock

I did not make the connection, even when the layout is displayed the same way:
fastboot flashing lock
It meant to run as a command line, because the description right after says:

"The command needs to be confirmed on the device and will wipe all data..."

But with Spring-Onion's comment it made sense that I had to do it on the host machine to trigger the guest table to initiate the sequence.

So my apologizes for the confusion and hassle because of my mistake.
