Google Play Services for AR – what can be sent to Google?

I’m using an app that has an augmented reality feature (Stellarium), and so I’ve to choose if I want to install the Google Play Services for AR or not.
Since this service is using the camera and motion sensors, I’m wondering what is actually sent to Google. The fact that an unmetered mobile network is a requirement for it does not put my mind at ease: Experience AR with Google Play Services for AR - Google Play Help
Have I to assume that images from the camera and the position can be sent to Google?

It seems to me that Occam's Razor would suggest that interpretation over others.

Thanks, but in this case, I don’t know which one is the simpler explanation. I mean, I don’t know how this Google service intervenes within the app. Is it openly supposed to send this kind of data, or is it more supposed to simply send dependencies code?
