  • App recommendation: make volume quieter (lower than "1") for nighttime listening

I need an app that turns down the volume even below the number that is above 0.

I'm about to install GrapheneOS, and on my old phone I'm using "Precise Volume" but that's not available on F-Droid.

Does anyone know an app that lets me do this, i.e. reduce volume further?

No recommendation on my end, I'm afraid. That said, I wanted to make sure you were aware that you can get Play Store just fine on GrapheneOS, either via Play Store through Sandboxed Google Play, or a Play Store frontend like Aurora Store.

You don't have to give up your apps to use GrapheneOS. :)

If you'd like to use F-Droid exclusively for your own reasons, that's another story, although you should be aware that F-Droid has multiple issues that make it less than ideal security-wise:

Maybe you can use something like Wavelet, and set up a profile with low volume gain?

    I don't only need to use F-Droid, but wanted to move away from the Play Store as much as possible. I appreciate that info though, I'll have a link at that link.

    Are there any more secure app stores then?

      Carport0593 There is one in its very early stages which just reached alpha called Accrescent.

      Currently developers have to be whitelisted before they upload their apps and there's a lot of work to be done to polish things and smooth everything over for mass adoption, but it's definitely something to keep an eye on!
