EU kills Android bootloader unlock starting August 1

With the ramping of Digital ID and censorship and obvious goal of Mass Surveillance, I can see other countries and nations following the EU with this, I assume there are no alternative ways of installation or ways of getting around this?

Also, the project hasn't said much about this publicly, but there was a post on X earlier in response to someone asking about it. They said:

We don't think there's going to be any issue for us from this.
