How to stop phone from powering up when charging from 0%?

DeletedUser433 I thought this fixed the issue but apparently it didn't because it would start booting up again when I wasn't looking.

So far, tapping the power button to pause booting has appeared to work for everybody it has been suggested to.

Is it possible that your battery has failed, so that it can't charge?

If you watch it carefully for 30 minutes while it's paused, in which minute does it start booting by itself?

de0u I realised that I didn't respond. Pressing pause seems to fix the issue most/all of the time and I didn't bother to watch my phone closely so the errors probably came from me not pressing the button hard enough

It was not marked "solved" as a way of claiming that the behavior of the firmware provided by Google is ideal. Have you tried the workaround mentioned earlier in the thread?

Its a firmware level "feature". The OS cant change it.

Hold volume down button when its plugged in and when it turns on with the bootloader screen select "Power off". You cant really mess up much on that sceen anyway.

This wonderful little feature just caused my phone to be in an inifite crash boot-loop, so yeah, clearly something that doesn't need addressing.

de0u There is no workaround to solve my issue. The thread was about phones turning on once they start being charged. My issue is that the subsequent restarts corrupted my os.
