Newbie - Aurora Store WireGuard App corrupt?

Hi.

I tried AuroraStore install of WireGuard app. It says successful at end of install, opens app, over the main window is popup that says "Application Corrupt", This application is corrupt. Please re-download the APK from the website linked below. After, uninstall this application and reinstall it from the download APK. Open Website button doesnt seem to work.

Any help would be really useful right now? Thanks

Try uninstalling and use one of the earlier versions maybe. Not sure , I'm not using it myself at the moment

Yo same issue here. Anyone figure out why its saying that? It makes no sense that the app downloaded from legitimate source would self report as corrupt. Installs fine, opens fine bur as soon as I try to add a tunnel hit with the corrupt error.

Pixel 10 Pro on 2026062800 and getting the same with the app downloaded from Aurora store

Only after enabling Google Play Services & Store I was able to open the app, add the tunnel & enable it., however connectivity doesn't work on private profile (the one I tested now), still trying to find out why there's no internet, I'm not even reaching my firewall so it's DNS related.

Hint: I uninstalled the app downloaded from Aurora & installed the one from Google Play.

@DarrenMcCartney , the Wireguard App from Aurora / Google Play store might have some sort of google dependency that requires Google Play Services.

I use the WireGuard app to access my home server remotely, but I downloaded the APK from the WireGuard website. There is a link "Download APK file" under the Play Store button. The app works for me on Pixel 10a without ever installing google. You can try the APK from the website in your private profile to see if it works

simple_irritable989 yes, that's also an option however I'm not that reluctant to download such an important app from anywhere else than an app store.

I didn't get your comment, the apk downloaded from the site works perfectly fine in private profile or not?

DarrenMcCartney connectivity doesn't work on private profile (the one I tested now), still trying to find out why there's no internet, I'm not even reaching my firewall so it's DNS related.

FYI: I've managed to solve this, seems it was a PEBKAC issue...

After checking the logs in the WireGuard app (top-right tree dots menu > WireGuard application log) I noticed many Failed to initiate handshake ... retrying in 6 which gave me an idea that the peer acted as if it didn't even exist.

I then checked on my OPNSense (firewall) > VPN > WireGuard status and my peer wasn't listed, so then

(OPNSense) restarted the WireGuard service
(OPNSense) enabled/disabled the peer
(GrapheneOS) reconnected VPN peer on WireGuard app

I then finally noticed traffic flowing on the Peer status on my OPNSense (light was green).
