I'm seeing a couple old posts on profiles and the usage of google apps so I'm just looking for some more up to date information.
I'm just trying to limit the amount of data gathering from big tech and anyone scraping the internet. It seems like GPS is very well limited in terms of what it can gather from your phone and the apps you use, but i'm seeing old posts from like a year or two ago about how people have an entirely different profile just for GPS apps. I've seen a couple posts of people responding saying its not necessary anymore just due to the sandboxing that happens for those apps. Or others mention they have their own profile just for banking. Is it still necessary now? I'm slightly assuming that was necessary for old builds.
And what threat model are people looking at to justify using different profiles? Really just want to prevent data gathering, and if i travel international and someone grabs my phone, i want to be set up on a profile that I just use for coming back in the country/pickpocketed.
