GrapheneOS does not accept the correct password

Yesterday I changed my four-digit PIN to a complex password.
I wrote it down in the password manager and copied it from there and pasted it into the password change window. And after that I couldn't log in using the password, but I still tried to copy the password from the password manager again and repeated it, and it didn't work, then manually and it didn't help either.

I decided that maybe the problem was in me, and I missed something or the thing is that I didn't need to copy the password from the password manager during its installation.

I had to reset everything and lose all the data. I set the password, downloaded everything again and after I picked it up from charging, for some reason it locked itself and didn't accept login by fingerprint and I entered the password and it didn't work again. I clarify that the password was also written down this time and I checked it and it worked.

I'm already scared to set a password on the device for the third time.

Beherit why are you copy and pasting it? I think that's the real issue here...

Unsure if it is your case but I recognized similar where it was failing randomly.

There is a know bug which I've noticed by luck, it is that the default keyboard does not recognize digits at random times. To make the default keyboard accept the digits again one have to minimize the keyboard and open it again by tapping on password field. Therefor I have enabled to show the letter upon entering password so I see when the letter has been entered or not.
Pixel 8 but this is present for long time.

Insert password and delete last digit. Maybe an empty space was copied?

Are you sure it's actually pasting in the text bar?
There was a bug where even though you typed, no text would be in the password field.
I'm not sure if it's fixed or not.

raccoondad The first time, yes, I created a login in KeePassDX and copied the password from there. The second time, I did everything manually.

Skyway i would understand pasting more or less, but where do you copy that text. Or does he copy it in one profile and then goes to switch profile and trying to paste it there?

I had the same issue with a user profile where my password would not get accepted no matter how many times I tried.

Here is how I "solved" this issue:

While you type your password into the password field pay attention to it and you will notice that it stops to fill it out even tough you are typing.
As you type each letter, number or symbol you just have to catch whenever this occurs. Then you simply press into the password field again and continue to type your whole password into the password field and you should be good to go.
Move your data out of the profile and create a new user profile.

These steps "solved" the issue for me.

Before I wrote my post yesterday, I had come across a frew threads including this one. The suggestions in this thread didn't work for me either but I'd still like to say thanks for everyone's ideas. Concluding, in my case there also seems to be no solution but to reinstall and hope for it not to happen again.
