GrapheneOS + Google Messages - Receiving messages, but not sending. I can make and receive calls.

It has all necessary permissions and was downloaded from Google Play Sandbox. When I try with the default messages app, it fails to send with an "Error Code: 500."

I am using Google Fi.

On a side note - Does anyone have any good Gemini alternatives? Can I integrate it to where I can say "Hey [AI's name]?" Even better -- can I host my own LLM and integrate it into an app (via proper secure channels/ports)?

I thought it was resolved, but it is not. Some messages send, others do not. Seems to only work sending to iPhones (but not for sure, I just know at least 2/3 have iPhones.

nonoeyes after deleting the esim and reactivating, it is now only RCS messages. All necessary apps are installed and permission granted.

Psyonico

You're probably not going to host a LLM on your phone, but there is a self hostable LLM you could run, its called ollama (or maybe its just llama?). Not sure if/how you could integrate it into a GOS app.

Proton also recently released a LLM, there's a whole post on how useful it is.
