FossifyOrg / Calendar - No audio reminder when another event is on stand-by

I use Fossify Calendar:

When there is no event still in the notifications the audio reminder works as intended. The phone rings over and over until I open at least the notifications.

However the issue is that when I do not swipe the notification away put let it stay there all future notifications from other events will be silent.
Pretty sure that was not the case with my old stock Android phone.

Anyone knows what causes this behavior, and how to fix it?

I believe this is an issue with their app, not the OS.

Or maybe a change in Android 16 that they didn't update for?

Either way, whether it's simply an issue with their app, or if there's a change in Android 16 that makes notifications behave differently, they'd have to fix their app anyway. I don't believe GrapheneOS has made any changes that would cause this kind of thing to happen.

Oh, good call with the Android version.

My old phone was still Android 15, so that might be the cause.
