Ticketmaster problems - GrapheneOS

Hello everyone, has anyone encountered and worked around "SafeTix™", used by Ticketmaster for concerts and sporting events? After purchasing tickets for an event, a message displays: "To access your tickets for entry you must download the Ticketmaster App or add your tickets to your mobile wallet from your phone.". No option to print at home. Aside from disadvantaging poor people without smartphones, at face value this seems to also require a google or apple account. I use GrapheneOS without GSF or any associated account.

Google Wallet seems to require a login and cloud sync. A friend with an iPhone said they were able to add these kinds of tickets to their Apple Wallet for offline use, passing the tickets from browser to the app. Is something along those lines possible with GrapheneOS, whether a third-party app or otherwise?

If you're able to download the ticket as a .pkpass-file you can import it in an app like FossWallet or Catima. That worked for me with a train ticket (Deutschlandticket) without problems.

thure I would love to do this! When I go to the Ticketmaster page to add the ticket to wallet, it gives a message "Your tickets will be available in your Google Wallet once you sign in with the connected Google Account". Does this mean ticketmaster does not provide the pkpass-file? Is there a Vanadium technique to expose the pkpass-file for download (as I assume the browser is passing user agent string to help site determine whether to show an apple wallet or google wallet entry button) ?

Unfortunately my Ticketmaster account isn't working at the moment, so I can't check it out by myself.

Maybe you can try opening ticketmaster with an desktop browser. And if you can download it for an apple wallet you should be able to download an pkpass file. That's how I sometimes do it. Hopefully someone else joins in and is able to help more precisely.

I ended up needing to take an old iphone along to the concert to be able to show my tickets :/

graphene works 90% of the time, but not a complete solution it seems

I'm not sure if this has changed, but several months ago I got tickets without realizing this. I just told them I didn't have the app or want to download the app, the guy had to ask someone about it and they were able to check me in without needing it. I probably won't buy tickets with ticketmaster again, but if you want to and are ok with being "that guy" and holding up the line and generally being a hassle for the workers, and are ok with risking it if they've fully phased out that fallback, then you might be able to get by without the app. Another option is set up the app on a second profile that has play services and isn't allowed to run in the background, or install it via apkpure with obtainium
