Since installing GrapheneOS on my pixel 7 a couple of weeks ago I have found the battery to drain a bit faster than expected, though not so much that it made me think there was something wrong.
Since last night though the battery drain has been huge. I use sleep as Android to track my sleep and it usually uses ~ 10 - 15%. When going to sleep I had around 35% battery, which shouldn't be a problem, but when I woke up my phone was completely emptied and dead after only 5 hours of tracking.
After charging and checking the battery usage I found that Signal and FairEmail were having a huge impact on the battery compared to before. Both has always had background services enabled for receiving messages. Since last full charge FairEmail used 32% and Signal 27%, which is about 3 times more than before. Also protonvpn uses 16 and 18 percent respectively on main/work profile, also this more than before.
So anyone know whats causing this? My phone went from 62 to 44% in only ~ 1,5 hours after charging this morning, with minimum usage.
