ProShot camera app not working on Pixel 6

I am completely new to GrapheneOS and installed it yesterday on my Pixel 6. I chose to install the sandboxed Google Play & Services since I have so many apps I paid for and use from there. I haven't had a problem with any of them working, including ones I paid for, except for an app I bought ages ago called ProShot, which is a really good camera app that has DSLR-like capabilities.

When I download the evaluator copy and scan the hardware, it opens Google Play and gives an error that reads: "This phone isn't compatible with this app." This is the exact phone I ran it on for years so I know it has something to do with GrapheneOS. Does anyone know how I can make it work or is this just one of those things I have to give up for the sake of GrapheneOS's benefits?

I have Pro Shot (the full version) from the beginning on my P9, I have it installed from the Google Play Store obviously, but now it shows "This phone isn't compatible with this app" -- meaning they messed up :(

I'm trying to install Evaluator on the P6 from the Play Store, it scanned the hardware and then I see the same: Your device isn't compatible with this version. Oh well, time for the one star review then :)

chinook hmmm, try installing from the logged-in Aurora Store (login to your account)? The fact you can't see the paid Pro Shot is Play Store limitation. I hope you'll be able to do it (I can't try it now).

Hey wow...signing in to Aurora totally worked. I hit manual download and it registered my previous purchase and it works fine. I don't understand why it worked in Aurora and not actual Google Play, but I am grateful nonetheless. Thanks a lot.

gongretrieval I'm super happy it helped.
I understand the reason the app was showing in the Play Store search result as incompatible was an artificial (fake) incompatiblity based on the GoS not passing some sort of compatiblity.

The app was still there, and since logged-in Aurora works as an app store, it simply allowed you to download and install it.
