Just switched my sim card from an iPhone/iOS to a pixel/GOS. My partner then sent me a text message, which defaulted to iMessage because it assumed i still had iOS. I did not receive that text on my pixel/GOS. They switched on their end to sending me SMS and it worked. My question is, for all the other people who may be sending me messages as imessages, will their phones update automatically to send me SMS instead of imessage? Or is it that I need to contact EVERYONE and/or just let the texts get lost in the imessage ether...
