Is USB-C only data possible?

Would anyone have any recommendations on how to use the internet via USB-C but that it doesn't consume as much power or no power at all?

I've tested several types of adapters and even bought a USB-C to ethernet cable but still the battery consumption is very large compared to Wi-Fi

All adapters I tested consume the device's battery, including those with a power input.

Any tips are welcome :)

Have you tried a regular USB-C docking station with a charging port? The ones that have a network port.
