Android 16 has locked porting?

Is it worth switching from iphone to pixel with graphene now that google locked porting on android 16 (limiting future support, security, testing and development)?

newpurseego I've been using the Android 16 port of GrapheneOS since it was first released in alpha, around 2 weeks ago at this point.
I haven't noticed any new issues except for some small cosmetic issues that I assume are also present in stock Android 16.
The concern around this is overblown IMO.

They didn't, no clue where you heard this. So much misinformation around here....you can run it yourself in a VM that was built from source code.

Some device specific data wasn't released and GOS has already fixed that issue.
