nandohyphen1 Does anyone know of a good safe + secure free VPN for a laptop? I currently use proton VPN on my phone, but with the free plan I can only have one device connected. Thanks.
DeletedUser370 nandohyphen1 Not really. Most free VPNs are shady – they have to earn money somehow and if they don't have a paid plan…
Phead nandohyphen1 I don't want to appear preachy or anything but when you're satisfied with Proton VPN why not chose to pay for it? Apparently they do a good job so they may deserve the $3.99 per month (currently 60% off). Mullvad or IVPN are also solid choices and well worth their money.
blusterpilgrim The only other free VPN I would really recommend is Riseup VPN. But from what I've heard it's pretty slow and not made for streaming etc. More for general browsing for activists and the like.
DeletedUser495 Mullvad offers a fair pricing model for what it has to offer, which lets you connect up to five devices and you can pay annually if you like. Good things in life are not always free.
locked Just buy one with btc or xmr, they are not expensive. ProtonVPN, IVPN, AirVPN are just a few that come to mind.
DeletedUser370 Phead Apparently they do a good job so they may deserve the $3.99 per month (currently 60% off). Yes, but to achieve the discount you have to pay for one year upfront.
nandohyphen1 Phead yes that is what I may end up doing as I do really like using proton VPN. Thanks for the feedback everyone. Appreciate it. :)
Phead DeletedUser370 Yes, you're right. I was assuming OP was looking for a long term solution, so I figured an upfront payment might be okay. Mullvad offers monthly subscriptions for roughly $5 in case a year long commitment is off the table.
