[Seed Vault] Recommended cloud storage?

Nextcloud offers 8GB max with Tab.Digital as the provider. That's used up already. Should I consider Drive with the big bad no-tech-support-Google? Or should I exploit every single free cloud storage provider as they each become full?
I want to backup apps, APKs, photos and videos, and my file system.
For some reasons, I suck at figuring out how to format a thumb drive for Android and to PC.

What do you guys do to back everything up?

I'm currently hosting a simple WebDAV server (specifically rclone) on a free Oracle cloud instance. Signing up involves some hoops but their always-free option gives you 200GB to work with.

There should be plenty of guides on setting that up (including deploying nextcloud itself to oracle). There's no guarantee they wont close your account at some point but mine has been active for almost 2 years and I've not paid a penny.

Andor I use Filen because its E2EE, works good on linux, and they occassionally offer one-time-payment options. Got a OTP 500GB plan for myself and a few different family members did 200GB ones a few (3?) Black Fridays ago.

Zero complaints and zero subscription fees since 👍

I really wish Icould self host. I would need a portable and relocatable method with something like an air card or some type of creative self hosting to appease digital nomadding.

200GB free?! That's got to be some sneakiness. Impressive though. Sounds like that usage is outside their terms somehow if they might close it for some reason. I'm interested to look more into it. Thanks a ton!

chisc Oracle will just delete your account anytime with no notice.

Andor AFAIR you really have to use it (there's some minimum CPU load they expect), plus it's Oracle, so, kinda ew.

chinook Ya I would not use a free Oracle tier as my cloud storage lol. Not much of a backup when it can be deleted at any moment with no notice.

I went over a year before my account got closed, but it did eventually get closed.

I use InfiniCLOUD, they give you 20 GB for free and have WebDAV.

(If you use a referral code, you get something like 5 GB more, mine is BA4DD, but for now I used up 5 GB for my seedvault backup so the 20 GB is more than enough :-))
