Many thanks to the team! Everything is working fine on P8a, except on the tiles menu the pen to edit them has a strange color and when modifying the layout a part of the UI is white, but shouldn't... I'm on light theme and updated from the stable branch.

For some reason on pixel 6a, the keypress soumd on system buttons ( three bottom screen butttons or opening an app, screen lock/unlock, ) is very loud and does not change with volume adjust and the keyboard keypress sound is inaudible.

Update pushed middle of Wednesday afternoon for me, broke in the middle of work 🤷‍♂️

Seems to have broken VPN connections system-wide on my P8.

No connection works at all with either openVPN or WG tunnel. Connection without a VPN enabled works fine but as a personal rule I try not to rawdog the internet anymore, VPN stays on.

Have tried different servers first. Clearing (forgetting) existing VPN settings. Uninstall and reinstall both WG tunnel and OpenVPN for Android. Tried generating new configs via airvpn for both. Tried disabling always on and block connections outside VPN.

Pretty much at a loss.

In Settings > System > System Update you can toggle various options to control this behavior. You should switch Automatic Reboot off for future updates.

beans Did you set a custom private DNS in the Settings app > Network & internet > Private DNS? If so, does turning it off improve the situation?

phone calls are not showing on the screen when a call is received. Phone will ring but i need to pull down the top menu and click on the incoming call to get it to come onto the screen and allow me to answer. Pixel 8.
not related to this update but in the past month i have had random crashing of the screen, no touch inputs are recognised. happens randomly and infrequently. Solved by rebooting the phone.
Love GrapheneOS so far after 1 year of use. Best Android experience, minus the occasional (and understandable) bugs.

AccXess i am also having this same issue. Have played with all the notification settings but not been able to get it working. Has anyone found a fix for this?

Phead I did have it set to only update at 3am, possibly only on weekends, from when I first installed GOS a few years ago. Hence why I was surprised when it updated and rebooted uncommanded yesterday.

But I can't verify as System Update is no longer in the settings menu.

No I specifically did not set a private DNS in android settings as airvpn routes to their own DNS by default in the config.

All features of their DNS were functioning for a few years as expected without manually locking it in android settings until yesterday.

Now that I go to double check if it somehow got set on its own I do not even have a private DNS setting option as of this update.

Settings> network and internet > No DNS setting anymore.

Searching DNS in settings returns none too.

beans Can't edit my previous comment on this. This was the issue; private DNS had changed itself from "off" to "automatic" and I couldn't find the setting to check it cause I forgot to switch back to the owner profile instead of my main one.

Switched private DNS back to "off" on the owner profile and openVPN seems to be back to functional on my main profile.

Thanks for helping talk me thru the issue folks.

Would maybe be nice if these types of settings didn't reset themselves randomly on update but oh well, minor inconvenience at most lol

I keep getting a "Google Play services error" notification, "Please complete the action required by Fit".

It's asking me to grant Google play services the "Health, fitness, and wellness" permission. After I do, the notification keeps coming up.

Anyone else seeing this?

I am having a similar issue. An app is requesting to give google play services permission for health and fitness but I am unable to allow it, it is not working correctly. My step counter no longer works in the background due to these permissions not working.

Phead D'oh! Always forget so many settings are not available on my main profile as I use a "me" profile as my main.

Checked in owner and the system update setting was there, automatic reboot had enabled itself at some point, maybe when the designated hours/days update/reboot option changed to just a generic allow automatic reboot option?

Anyways that's disabled again now, thank you.

I'm seeing the UC symbol next to 5G now when I wasn't before. I don't see any changes related to mid-band/mmWave or UC specifically mentioned in the change log. Was there something behind the scenes or did my provider (T-Mobile) coincidentally make upgrades to my area overnight?

Not sure if this has been reported.

Dismissing app from the recent app list menu does not work sometimes(the app window does not slide up).
It works after pressing home(going to launcher screen) and trying again(pressing recent button, then swiping the app to dismiss again)

Context: third party launcher with buttons for navigation(not gestures)

I run iVPN app on both my main and secondary profiles, with Always-on VPN and Block connections without VPN enabled for both. I also have NextDNS set up in Private DNS settings.
When I switch to the secondary profile, VPN connection on the main profile automatically disconnects, causing DNS on the secondary profile to stop working (ERR_NAME_NOT_NOT_RESOLVED). It seems that the system-wide DNS server (DoT) is routed through the VPN connection on the main profile.
Previously, 2025062700, I encountered the same issue. At that time, I was able to resolve it by switching back to the main profile, toggling the VPN on and off a couple of times, and then returning to the secondary profile, and DNS works fine. Now the trick no longer works.
Sometimes the bug disappears by itself, IDK.
