beans I'm a little confused why someone who is at all interested in grapheneOS would be at all interested in putting gemini on their phone?
Why not? Installing Google Play and other Google apps on GrapheneOS means that the user is in more control over their data than they would be if they had a phone with the stock OS. Like, using privacy features like storage and contact scopes, Google and/or Gemini can't see your files or contacts except for the ones you want them to see.
Also, Google apps on the stock OS have privileged access to more than just your files and other stuff.
So, I think that it actually makes a lot of sense for people who care about their privacy, but also want to use Google apps or products to use them on GrapheneOS as opposed to the stock OS.
