I have profiles where "Turn on phone calls and SMS" is OFF (via the owner profile -> manage users). I'm able to received incoming calls in all those profiles fine and able to pick them up and talk too. What I don't get is the ability to:
1) Make any calls
2) Read/Write SMS-es
3) See call logs
4) See the person who is currently calling because contacts are not shared (so just displays the numbers).
What I don't know and am interested to know is that in such a profile (with phone calls and SMS toggle set to OFF), if there's an app (or google services) that wants to have access to "Telephone" and "SMS" permissions and if I given them that, are they able to:
a) See call logs and SMS history?
b) See incoming calls when I'm not in that profile but that profile is still running (ie I haven't end-session'd it)?
c) I think the answer to this is "no" but just for completeness, do these permissions allow the apps to record incoming calls too (instead of only being able to see the phone number of the incoming call and maybe duration of call etc).
