This happened semi-recently (some time in the last several months). I'm not sure if this was an AOSP change or a GrapheneOS change.
Just to clarify what I'm talking about. When the phone was locked, I use to be able to turn the phone on do not disturb without having to unlock the phone first. Maybe I'm going nuts, but I swear I've been able to do this for as long as I've had a smartphone, including on earlier versions of GrapheneOS, normal android, and iOS.
Is there a way to get this back? I saw a setting in security to allow camera access when locked. Is there another similar setting somewhere for Do Not Disturb that I've missed?
It's been months and I have not been able to get used to this change; it still causes issues for me on a daily basis.
Besides for the inconvenience, it's been a security issue for me since I now have to enter my password to unlock my phone in front of others more frequently. The lack of convenience also causes me to delay toggling it, causing me to either miss calls and notifications or to accidentally disturb others with notifications that should have been muted.
