Would it be safe enough to keep using the 6a, even if there's a hazard with the battery, after changing the OS? I'm not experiencing any heating issues with my phone, and I'm actually quite satisfied with the battery life

Poorpitifulme it wouldn't necessarily matter what OS you used since you're talking about a hardware issue, so it's probably fine.

What do you mean? I've never heard changing OS affects the battery itself.

There is a hazard in using any battery.
I use a 6a, using it right now. I have no intentions of replacing it until it becomes EOL in 2027, just under two years away.
My device behaves impeccability, shows no signs of overheating etc. It amuses me that a Pixel range has a problem, just before a launch of a new model.
Oh there's an idea trade in my P6a for a P10... No f@#king way...
