Applications not following the system theme settings

Hey,

just installed Graphene on a Pixel 9a (Build number 2025061501). While checking out the default apps I stumbled upon some that don't follow the system theme / color settings (I restarted the phone after changing the color scheme). Wondering if this is considered normal or a bug.

Hello. Those apps on GrapheneOS are not the same as those on Lineage. They are AOSP apps that have been abandoned by Google for the most part. GrapheneOS is steadily updating them with plans to replace a couple with forks of other apps (Keyboard and Gallery).

This is normal and expected since those apps have not been updated to follow Material 3.

The non-UI parts of the apps are fairly up-to-date, fwiw.
