The open standard of RCS works just fine.
The closed RCS system used by Google may or may not work. There's another thread on here about getting Google Messages working on their phones. For some people it works flawlessly, while some people have done literally everything with no success. For some people it stops working after a few weeks, for others it never breaks at all.
I hope the EU steps in when it comes to this nonsense soon.
