I killed the screen on my Pixel 7 Pro on Friday and ordered a screen at a local repair place. Just got my phone back from the screen replacement, and the usb data connection they used to calibrate the screen worked even though I never gave them my password. I'm running GOS, doesn't that disable data at a hardware level? The phone was with them from Friday to today, rebooted into BFU after four hours, and my boot loader is locked. I have the USB-C controls set to Charging only when locked, how did their calibration software manage to connect and work?
They said it told them 100% complete, the finger print sensor works, and the touch screen is reading inputs correctly with no issues so far.
