"Other" in storage is taking 50+GB

I can't figure out what is causing my storage to be running low.
The data in Storage > Other takes more than 50GB.

I don't have Termux (which was the problem for another user on the forum)
I don't have the Linux Experimental terminal
None of the Apps are taking much space
I have an extra profile but I haven't started using
I have Private Space on with 10 apps installed, none of them seem to be taking much space
I went through all the folders I can see in the Files app and didn't see anything suspicious

What's happening?

ben_sherp Are you using Seedvault or have been using Seedvault in the past? (The system backup system). Old backups could be taking up space if they're stored on the device. You can enable view hidden files in the Files app and look for a folder named .SeedVaultAndroidBackup in your home folder.

fid02 yes, I used seed vault once. I did delete the seed vault folder already :/

ben_sherp I recall another user found that Vanadium was taking up lots of storage for some reason. Apparently it showed up as "Other". You could check how much it's using. Only thing I can think of.

What happens when you click "other" from storage menu? Where does it take you?

Sigismund it opens the download folder, where there is exactly one folder.
I deleted and it disappeared... But I also got a notification saying:

This file wasn't deleted:
content://com.android.providers.downloads.documents/...

I couldn't find a way to show the full path :/

I figured it out. It was syncthing's versioning system, which ballooned to tens of GBs.

I just had to switch to a more aggressive deletion of versions.
