Trying to install GOS and something isn't working

I'm going through the cli method, and I'm at the bash flash-all.sh command. It seemed to be stuck at the message "Available devices:" (I waited 30+ minutes), so I ran it again in verbose mode, and the last it shows is:

I have no idea how to proceed; can anyone provide some guidance?

asinine I can't directly help you, but I know there are a bunch of post on the forum about the topic. Have you tried searching for them?

Personally I found the easiest and most realiable way to install GrapheneOS is through another Android phone.

I had a lot of problems flashing GOS, 5 hours of problems, 3 different methods. I ended up getting the install completed via CLI with additional commands that were not included in the GOS online CLI install instructions supplied by forum user @spring-onion. I have NO idea where the user/mod got these additional commands from.

Whenever I've tried installing GOS on Linux distros via CLI, 90% of the time I've run into issues. So I just stick with the Web Installer using a GOS Phone connected via USB to the target pixel device.

Quantum I have, but honestly I don't really know what to search for. Most of the results seem to address when the phone hangs during boot/reboot.
I can ctrl-c the bash script and hit the power button, and the phone boots back up normally, as though nothing happened, so the script doesn't seem to have actually done anything.

Edit: also I had no idea trying from another phone is possible. Any links for that? I was hoping to stick to the official methods (https://grapheneos.org/install/cli)

asinine the easiest method with the most success rate is to use the official Web installer
(https://grapheneos.org/install/web).

Use Google Chrome in guest profile (do not use incognito)
Preferably use the same USB cable that came with the device (or make sure it is a data transfer cable and not just a charging cable)

If you don't understand command line (CLI) or have very limited use of it, then its best to stick with the Web installer.

I have done this countless times both from a Macbook, PC, and another GOS pixel phone with the only issues I encountered being that the initial OS release download quit partway. Tried again and it worked.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but from my understanding Web installer is just as secure and private as the CLI method. Additionally, once you downloaded the GOS release for your device using the Web installer, you can go offline and finish the rest of the install.

asinine As @userofgos said, the web installer in the main offcial way to install GrapheneOS. Cli is for more "advanced" users.

I' recommend following the link @userofgos pasted. Either do it phone to phone from that page or just connect it to a PC.

So, originally I had tried swapping usb cables, as that's my normal first response. The second cable acted similarly, so I presumed the cables were fine.

I actually just tried a third, and the bash script ran (and also made me realize the phone is locked >_<). So, that was the problem and I feel kinda dumb about it, though I did actually change the cables!
