Legged8 What source are these new apps being installed from (i.e. Play Store, F-droid, Obtanium, Aurora?
In my experience, if I exit these apps stores before they have installed the desired application (on Obtanium before the small notification bar at bottom of screen dismisses), then it does not get automatically added to the Home Screen, but is viewable in the App Drawer.
