Could an "Eject Launcher" be a quick fix for Application Scopes?

Problem: apps can figure out which other apps are installed on the same profile for user profiling and fingerprinting.
Proposed solution: move each app's profile folder(s) into a folder within an "Eject Launcher" app, and only return them when you need to run the app(s).

Multiple apps could be combined and moved together if IPC between them is required. Any active app which is managed by the Eject Launcher would be automatically ejected before a new app is launched.

Potential issues:
Large apps might be too slow to move - perhaps renaming the folders might instantly move them?
Updating apps could be problematic.
Caching of the lists of apps with intents (eg the list of all apps with camera permissions) would need to be cleared.
No background usage for ejected apps.

kjerehea Best solution would be to use different profiles because apps cannot communicate with other apps in other profiles via IPC. Private spaces are profiles as well, but are a lot more convenient. I believe the developers plan to add support for multiple private spaces, instead of just one.

Using profiles or private spaces is a lot easier because there's already support for them. Adding another whole new feature might mean a lot more work maintaining that feature for the developers in the future.

Pardon my ignorance, but could u elaborate on the 'eject launcher" part? What exactly is this? Is there any literature about this?I have genuinly no idea and a quick search doesn't provide anything useful.

r134a Sorry, I should have made it clear that I made up the term "eject launcher"; ejecting is somewhere between disabling and uninstalling. Kind of like a video cassette being removed and made inaccessible, yet still easily re-launchable.

A separate private space within the same profile for each app would also work, but it would involve installing each profile, and waiting for a new VPN connection each time. My suggestion would allow any combination of apps to be launched together quickly for (possibly) the same benefits.

The main reason I use multiple profiles is to prevent fingerprinting - mostly because this app without any permissions terrifies me! I assume every app I install can do the same.

I doubt this is implementable, I don't think you will have much luck with that idea.

GOS isn't going to implement this, most likely, its best to just use a separate profile
