So I’m a long term iPhone and general Apple user. I bought a pixel 8 a few months ago and been tinkering. I made the mistake and installing sandboxes google play - now I receive “sandboxes google play is running “ from gmscompat (even though I have removed google play).

I installed Obtanium and have installed a few apps from their app list. I’m still struggling with adding applications in Obtanium, for example Proton Wallet. Their is a APK, but graphaneos says it won’t install it due to unknown source. All this makes me uncomfortable signing in to installed applications 😂 I want to ditch iPhone but man, everything feels so sketchy.

Can I add a shortcut to camera on the locked screen?

Long-press the Sandboxed Google Play is running message, tap Turn off notifications and disable the notification for Google Play is running.

Their is a APK, but graphaneos says it won’t install it due to unknown source.

I just tried and succeeded in installing Proton Wallet. How did you add it to Obtainium? Did you use the correct link?

Nothing sketchy, as long as you learn how things work properly (which of course applies to most things).

Can I add a shortcut to camera on the locked screen?

Settings > Display > Lock screen > Shortcuts > add Camera to either left or right shortcut.

Jdjeowld due to safety issues, all programs are not allowed to install apps by default, so you have to grant acces to APK installing programs, like Obtanium or Aurora Store or F-Droid.
Just a safetyissue, nothing more.

I have tried adding both GitHub url https://github.com/ProtonWallet/flutter-app and apk https://proton.me/download/WalletAndroid/ProtonWallet-Android.apk

When I try GitHub url, Obtanium complains that it cannot find any releases, and the same with apk.

Can I completely nuke google play?

This doesn't offer anything in the Releases section, so you can't use this to install the app. As for the other link, it works better if you use the link @CueHD said.

Can I completely nuke google play?

Its "completely nuked" as long as you uninstall Google Play Store and Services (which can be done via the App Store by tapping the three dots in top right of the Google Play page).
