System updates broken

My system updates stopped working in April. When I tap for a manual check nothing happens. All permissions are granted on the systems update app. The network is on any. I am out of ideas what could be the problem. Updates for Vanadium and Playstore do work. Any clues?

BTW I noticed all the text in System->System updates is not translated into German.

What happens if you reboot?

System > System Updates > Require Device To Be Charging > Toggled On?

Other than clear cache/data of the updater… Have you tried sideloading a full update package?

As far as I know no GrapheneOS specific parts are translated (yet?). They will always show in English regardless of the selected system language. Another example for this is the exploit mitigation category or Duress PIN/password.
All existing translations are inherited from AOSP.

That solved the problem, thanks. I noticed my phone did not reboot since april despite autoreboot was on. Upon restart an update was immediately applied. I hope it continues to check for updates from now on.

schweizer It is likely that notifications are disabled for System Updater. Adjusting that should help.

i think autoreboot only reboots, if you dont unlock the device that period long
