Whitelist my contacts, blacklist everyone else (kind of)

Several months ago I ditched my iPhone for a used Pixel 7a and installed GOS.

I love it except I can't find one feature I relied on: the ability to automatically send calls from people not in my contact list to voicemail.

I get spam calls all day long. I never answer them, but they're still distracting and annoying.

Does this feature exist in GOS? If not, what phone spam blockers (preferably free or cheap) do you recommend? I remember installing one on my iPhone ages ago and then uninstalling it when I discovered the app sold data to third parties.

This should be possible in the Phone app's settings, poke around in there. I think it's part of the global configuration, so you have to be in the Owner profile to access that option.

yes it is possible I have it set go to contacts > settings > blocked numbers > numbers not in contacts, and it works, but not short code text messages.

Ah ha! Thank you! Now I remember a related question...will the non-contact numbers go to voicemail or be block-blocked? I know I get some legit calls from people not in my contacts and I don't want to block those.

that I cant say, I personally dont have voicemail enabled.

area51 I tested it with someone and it does go straight to voicemail, which is what I was hoping.

... Feature not working properly in secondary profiles, would be a reason to bother. (I haven't tried that app.) I do take your meaning, however.
