I just rebooted my almost new pixel 7 after the most recent OS update as instructed. The next morning, I again was informed the OS was just updated and I would need a reboot, which I again performed. I am now notified, days later, the OS was just updated and I need another reboot. What is going on with this?
There were several recent updates due to shipping important backports of Android 16 changes.
I have received constant "system up to date" and "apps up to date" notifications during this.
By default these are silent, collapsed notifications which do not appear in the status bar or on the lockscreen. If you do not want them at the bottom of the notification drawer, you can disable them. Don't disable overall App Store or System Updater notifications.
These notifications freeze VLC media player (while playing) or eliminate the audio completely while still playing.
That shouldn't be happening and we've never received a report of it before.
